I’m prayijng for a great turn out for the auction. Some of my kids at school are giving me some change and so far we have enough for one blanket. We’ll work to get collect before the auction. It was one of my student’s ideas to raise money for a cause, and I just happened to know a worthy one! Appreciate your spirit and drive.

there used to be a leper colony in Lesotho where we went once a month for services. not sure if it is still there. it is really sad, those pictures are true to life. bp

You can’t help but have very mixed emotions…pain and sadness for those in the pictures. Hope in knowing there is a cure but probably shocked and dismayed at the relatively few with access. And the the emotions of being humbled and grateful for what we have. This is sad, but I know is real. I am sure it breaks your heart.

Can’t wait for the auction!!! Did you see the Lesotho delegation at the opening ceremonies for the Olympics? They had the hats and traditional blankets on.

I have seen the movie…a couple of times-it is a tough one to watch. The numbers are staggering-the BBC article mentions “tens of thousands” and 100,000 leaving their homes, and then the difficulity of keeping accurate numbers on what is going on…almost hard to even get your mind “around” this. Thank you for updating us all. We will continue to pray and offer support when/where we can.

Jen, just a note. Thanks for the info on ONE. I don’t believe i had heard about this before. Or if i had, i did not pay much attention. Your blog kind of brought it front and center.
